When major sporting events take the world stage – from football, basketball and soccer, to golf, horse racing, auto racing or the Winter & Summer Games, Rick has been a part of the promotions.
Anheuser-Busch’s company motto, “Making Friends Is Our Business”, is what keeps Rick on the move. His busy performing schedule has taken him to all fifty U.S. States, as well as to Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, England, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Caribbean, Bahamas, France, Austria, Tahiti, Guam, Philippines, Saipan, and more.
Rick studied at the famed Magic Castle, an exclusive, private club for magicians in Hollywood, California. Since then he has cultivated a world-class reputation by distorting reality before the watchful eyes of presidents, kings, superstars and music legends. Rick creates a lifelong impression upon everyone he meets.
Gerber was inspired by the wonders of illusion and magic at the age of six. Over the years his eclectic performance background included comedy clubs, street shows, corporate promotions and special events. Under the guidance of some the most respected magicians in the world, Rick developed a distinctive identity and unique approach to his craft. His performing style has separated him from the pack, allowing Rick to be featured in numerous newspapers and magazines, as well as many television appearances.
Gerber became the official Anheuser-Busch Master Illusionist. In 1977, an Anheuser-Busch executive discovered Rick as he amazed customers with his illusions at a local bar. The company hired Gerber for one year to entertain at major tradeshows and promotions. The response to Rick’s crowd-pleasing blend of charm, humor, mystery and illusion was so incredible that he became Anheuser-Busch’s full-time Master Illusionist.
In addition to intriguing people with his mind-boggling abilities, the internationally acclaimed illusionist is considered one of the top balloon sculptors in the world. Gerber resides in Los Angeles, California and travels worldwide performing as an Anheuser-Busch goodwill ambassador.
